10mm is the truth, the whole meaning of life, and everything ever after – once you have the supersize smoothie straw at the correct sizing for effortless smoothie sipping, 10mm, you require a cleaning brush to clean the straw. That is the only essential required. You will quickly come to appreciate how dynamic and usable the 10mm bore size is – from the thickest protein smoothies to the thiccest fruit shaker makers. It is definitely 10mm or go home!
A Drawstring Carry Pouch is Redundant.
We have deliberately discontinued supplying drawstring carry pouches with our stainless steel straws as they are rarely used beyond the initial purchase time and are basically waste.
For sure, the branded pouch looks appealing and promotes your brand etc, but for day to day use of the metal straw, the pouch is an afterthought.
Seriously – who drinks their smoothie, cleans out the straw with the cleaning brush, dries the straw, and then returns the straw to the carry pouch? No one, that’s who. So that’s why we don’t sell them anymore.
Supplying thousands of carry pouches that never saw use was completely against our zero-waste plastic-free philosophy – and we know you will agree once you give it some thought.

It’s what works, and it’s what gets used daily. So that is what we offer. We previously offered bent or curved straws as well, although we learned over the years that the bend/curve just makes it harder to clean the metal straw let alone how awkward and unhygenic it is when you are compelled to use your hand to orient the straw into your mouth every sip.
With a straight straw, you simply purse your lips and begin sipping, compared with a bent/curved straw you are forced to engage your fingers and potentially transfer undesirable contaminants onto your straw and perhaps into your drink.
Additionally, bent straws are a pain to clean as they do not permit open visual inspection to ensure that the interior of the metal straw is entirely free of debris.
Again, the user is potentially exposed to hidden contaminants within the straw, and generally lacks the confidence to know with certainty that the straw is indeed clan and ready for use.

About Us
Yes, well, I am the face behind stainlesssteelstraws.com.au and it has been a surprisingly interesting journey over the years supplying metals straws to school, community groups, charities, fundraisers, corporations, big banks, supermarkets and so many other businesses over the years.
Probably the most exotic location we have delivered stainless steel straws is the Cocos Islands, when we supplied thousands of straws on behalf of the tourism authority over there a few years back – or the time we supplied thousands of straws for an international football game and had to deliver pallets of metal straw sets strictly between 2pm and 3pm to a stadium in another city on a Saturday afternoon.
Stainless Steel Straws are certainly part of my life story.
